I STAYED AT WHEEL SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND MEN FOR A GOOD YEAR OFF AND ON. 2020. I HAD MY MAIL SENT TO THERE. DIRECTORS NICOLE THOMAS AND SONG STOLED MAIL AND MONEY OFF ME BUMMING ON LINEBOEING /RAILROAD AND LILLIES. THEY DEPOSITED THE CCHECKS INTO THERE OWN BANK ACCOUNTS. FORGED SIGNATURES AND ABOUT STOLED EVERYTHING. AND THEY BRAGGED ABOUT IT GETTING AWAY WITH IT THOSE COM{PANIES HAV E THE COPPIES AND FILED TAXES ON IT ALL. We used NEST to manage three apartments over about 6 years. It took a few years to realize that they were overcharging us for unit turnovers between tenants as well as regular maintenance calls (their wholly owned subsidiary does their maintenance work.) They would recommend that we redo an entire unit of wood flooring because a few boards were loose/missing. Break and enter into units and won't even repair the damages they made to the doorframe. Total conartists.
Communications with Nest-DC are dismissive when addressing any issues related to the building. Over the last couple months they have not abided to their agreements within the lease to hold other tenants accountable for excessive noise and disturbing the peaceful enjoyment of the apartment. There's also been a bug infestation presumably due to a sewer drainage problem for over 2 months which they are just recently planning to address. It has been a less than satisfactory experience renting an apartment with this company.
RecommendedVeronica Vivas is great at communicating which is esential to my job so she makes it easier, she's always on top of things and she cares about the people in her team. Always a pleasure to interact with Nest DC!
I recommend NEST DC to anyone looking for a great rental experience. The team is fantastic. They got us a good deal on a sweet apartment in downtown DC and have been responsive and friendly managers over the past 3 years. When the pandemic started, they quickly found ways to go virtual - they did a virtual walkthrough and offered to teach us how to make basic repairs virtually, if needed. As a real estate agent who refers investors to management companies often, this property management company is far superior to others. Responsiveness is the biggest complaint amongst tenants. Nest is wonderful and so are the people.
From a tenant's perspective, I cannot more highly recommend Nest as a property management company. As my family fled an apartment the coronavirus pandemic in NYC, we were lucky enough to end up in a Nest property on extremely short notice. Nest management has been so easy to interact with in this difficult time. The house is amazingly maintained. We feel very lucky to have escaped the epicenter of the pandemic and wind up in such a better situation in a beautiful house.
