A recipient of the Preservation Merit Award (2006), Nau's Enfield Drug has existed since the early 30s. Pharmacist Lambert Labay purchased the store from founders Hylton and Eleanor Nau and has maintained the church pew booths and wooden bar stools. Was my favorite place to go on the way home from O Henry Jr. High school in the 50's. Wonderful shakes and Ice cream floats.
I went to the other location from when my Mom was pregnant with me into adulthood. I was very sad when I heard it closed down as it was my favorite place growing up. Used to love grabbing a comic book to read while waiting on my burger and then hearing all of the clocks on the wall sounding off at the same time.
Good food and friendly service
Best Burgers I ever ate, used to go there when I was a kid, My Mom worked there too...
