I arrived at Portland Adventist via ambulance to the emergency room where I was treated by calm and competent staff. Their professionalism was extraordinary. Their calm and friendly communication and interaction with both me and my wife made the experience much less scary than it might have otherwise been. I was subsequently admitted for testing and observation. Absolutely everyone from orderly to nurse to attending physician to specialist were excellent. Quality of care was super and everyone communicated clearly and calmly... read more

I had a day surgery at Adventist yesterday, and can say it was made a wonderful experience from the time I checked in until I left late afternoon. The surgeon and the anesthesiologist were informative and never made me feel rushed! The OR nurses and the floor RN's and CNA's were absolutely caring and terrific. They obviously love their job and the people they work with and for. They managed my pain exceptionally well and were gentle with the IV. I've been so busy up until surgery day that it was as close as a visit to a spa ... read more

I have been to Adventist Hospital through the ER and as a heart surgery patient. As a matter of fact I was just released from the ER. It was very hectic in ER, ambulances coming, people walking in. Even at that I was checked on regularly and my labs and X-ray came back quickly. I am very confident in the doctor's diagnosis. Katheryn Grisham.

I have never encountered the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism as I have at this emergency room. I came in to be seen for an asthma attack and when my husband said that I was struggling to breathe and wouldn't be able to walk across the ER for the fourth time for another test, the nurse threw an emotional fit. She yelled at him to "be quiet" and that she "hates this crap" and then refused to treat me. I was send out of the ER coughing and wheezing and unable to catch my breath because my husband tried to advocate f... read more
