Dr. Hammel and staff saved my sons life, he ended up having Bacterial Endocarditis. It attacked his heart, destroyed his aortic valve. After 6 hours of surgery they removed the bacteria, put my son on a antiobiotc IV for 6 weeks to clear the bacteria from his blood stream. He went back in 6 months later, opened his chest back up and replaced his aortic valve with a PIG valve. That was 6 Years ago. I am forever grateful of this amazing facility and their staff. Blessing all.
My son had brain surgery here. Wonderful staff! We were very impressed.
My son had a hernia surgery yesterday. The staff was amazing and took very good care of him. He did fantastic and is at home recovering now. Thank you children's hospital for being outstanding!
My 2 year old ended up getting admitted from the emergency department, we thought he had a flu bug, but he ended up needing an emergency procedure to put in an EVD, and brain surgery for a Chiari Malformation. Dr Puccioni and all the doctors and nurses took such incredible care of him, and I'm so thankful that we were here! We received visits from plenty of specialist, volunteers, Santa, and many others! I couldn't of asked for a better experience! My daughter was in the best of hands.
From the time you enter the parking garage this is a 5 star hospital. The front check-in, to the nurses, doctors, surgeons gave my grandson the care like he was the ONLY one there. Isn't that what we all want when a child needs care?
