Typically, I only use National on business trips, but now that I use them for vacations too. I have never had any problems and the cars are clean and efficient. Check-ins and check-outs run smoothly with no problems.
Rented a car for a few days in Chicago, and had the misfortune to have a small medical emergency at home, cutting my trip short by a day. Upon returning the car early, National virtually doubled my daily rate to $110/day. When I contacted their Customer Service team, I found out they don't really believe in customer service.
