RecommendedIf you’re passing anywhere near Brennan, TX you’ve got to stop here for some BBQ! Probably one of the top 5 (maybe 3) BBQ restaurants in Texas. IMHO. The smoke flavor was right, the seasoning was spot on, the quality of the cook - not over/under done. The brisket held together on a form but was not tough. The ribs were perfect. If I had to rate this place on the Sliced Brisket Sandwich that I ordered....It would be a 0
Terrible! Had no ribs, brisket was very fatty. When you try to chew it, it just got bigger in your mouth! Chicken was like trying to eat taffy candy! I love bbq, but this place is far from Tx bbq!
Guys ordered a sliced beef sandwich. Meat was very fatty and tough. I’m a Brenham native and this may have been the standard at one time but times have changed with Truth and a lot of competition now. That meat was unacceptable. PERIOD

As authentically Texan as it gets! In a unique rustic setting perfectly marinated and flavored barbeque meats cooked just right! There is a country store and market adjacent to the dining area. Overall very satisfied with the quality food and service
Great fried chicken & mac n cheese & fried okra & bbq sauce is yummy
