A group of our men from church went as our first annual Men’s Retreat for Father’s Day Wknd. It was all of our first times except for one, and all enjoyed it. Every part of the stay was fun and well worth it. Besides the fact that many of us didn’t bring blankets, sleeping bags and/or pillows, we made the best of the night. Wish we could have done an extra night so that could experience more of the activities. This was a great place and much needed.
Beautiful in so many ways! Fun fun fun! Can’t wait to go back!!!!
My husband, good friends and myself went rafting with Big Joe as our guide. What a fabulous time we had. Joe was so knowledgeable about the tree and plant life along the river. He was a super rafting guide and instructed us so well in how to raft. We did a rapid roulette with his excellent guidance. Fun, fun, fun. Thanks Joe!

This was a phenomenal experience! My family of varying ages and zero exposure to rafting, all found enjoyment and awe from beginning to end. Our guide, Johnny, was extremely professional, personable, and in control the whole time (despite my daughter's attempts to swim faster than the raft). His knowledge of the history of the land and the varying wildlife added that much more to our experience. Every guide there is proud and happy to do what they do. The people at NOC are exceptional and Nantahala is a great mix of challenging and fun. A weekend at NOC is a perfect get away to relax and recharge. Frank Lawson is the man!
What a great time! Very organized and the staff were all helpful and friendly. Our guide, Ashton, was AWESOME!!
I made the trip from Tampa Florida and I was not disappointed. I Had a great time on the raft and river tanner was great a friendly guy! I’ll definently be coming back in the future
