What a fantastic experience! The guides are really well versed in their knowledge of the outdoors.
We loved our experience! Big thanks to Sam, Hank, and the flying squirrel Hannah!!!!! Our group was awesome and we had fun the entire time!!!!! Plus they were very thorough in safety and knowledge! Carlos and I had an awesome time!

Awesome experience, friendly staff and good community feel. Favorite thing about this place is the sense of community and the staff had a great attitude towards us as beginners. Most definitely will be back and highly recommend. Choose NOC, you will not be disappointed!
I've worked here for 2 seasons and am coming back soon for a third. I can say from personal experience, through the eyes of an employee, that this place is amazing, and throughout my travels across this country, I have never found another place that felt more welcoming, and more like home, than the Nantahala outdoor center. I love this place!
Waitresses are rude and mean, one told me she was going to spit in my drink! There is a few nice people that work there but this restaurant needs some new staff and a make over. I would rather go to another place in the gorge than be treated like shit every time I walk in Rivers End, sad what it has become these days.
Can't stop coming back, and I'm here for the basic hiker bunkers, but love the place, the water, Rivers End restaurant, so chill, surrounded by all activities you can imagine, coming back again, no doubt.
