Average, Average, Average – Nami is not a place I will go to great lengths to be a patron at again. It was average by all means. I suppose I have grown to prefer the intimate settings of true family run sushi houses with charictaristic Japanese decor, tatami mat seating and a no shoes policy. The decor is beautiful, however compairable to just about any other "trendy" restaurant in Minneapolis. Nothing stuning about it. The sushi were average and no better than something you can pick up made fresh at any Byerly's. I was shoc... read more

Going for Happy Hour? FORGET IT!! – Happy Hour specials only limited to the Bar area and the tables! You can't even eat at the couch!!! What's up with that? Trying to find a spot to sit is impossible. So if you are going there for happy hour.....FORGET IT! Didn't even tried anything......Unable to.....

Highly recommended – I definitely recommend Nami. Good for couples and small groups. Ambiance is sophisticated and sleek and great sushi/drinks for happy hour. Normal prices are reasonable as well. The service has been average to above average, depends on the server, but never had any issues in the past.

Slightly above average – The ambiance at Nami is nice, however the sushi is only about average. The nigiri selection is pretty good, but the selection of rolls is boring unless all you want is some kind of tempura roll. A nice palce for a date or something special, but not someplace I would want to go more then maybe once a year. I can get my sushi elsewhere. The wait staff are also not the greatest. One glared at our table as she was taking our order, like she was doing us some huge favor by going out of her way to be our w... read more

Best Service and Sushi in Town! – Hands down Nami is the best. We go out to eat all over and simply had the greatest experience. The waitstaff (we think our server's name was Gabrielle) was extraordinary! She was professional, personable, gave great recommendations, and the sushi was always cold and the freshest in town. On top of it all, the warehouse space is beautiful and we loved the attached bar. We will go back again and again.

Nummy Nami – Very stylishly decorated, good downtown location and above average sushi. The prices were slightly high but the service was good and prompt, especially considering we had a fairly large group of 10 all ordering sushi at once. The tempura vegetables were well prepared as well.

Overpriced and overserved – I just ate there with some friends and based on other reviews in this site, was expecting a fun and fabulous meal. It was not that. The food was average - not bad, just average and rather unattractive for sushi. The service was terrible because we had to fight every few minutes to keep the staff from taking our half full plates. The bill with one bottle of wine, three entrees and three appetizers came to over $180. I would not go again.

Good Food - Nice Atmosphere – Saturday night at a Japanese restaurant in the Warehouse District? Who would have thunk it? Nami has done an excellent job of refurbishing the first floor of an old printing building. The decor is chic, the crowd is happening, and above all the food is excellent. The sushi is up there with the best in town. The broiled tuna collar is an outstanding appetizer. The standard dishes also hold their own. My only complaints are value ($7.25 for a Bombay and Tonic?) and service. Our meals arrived 10 mi... read more
