About 3 years ago now, me and my friend walked in for happy hour. After being ignored by every ****************** we asked why our orders hadnt been taken yet. The bartender proceeded to tell us no one want to take your order because it looks like you dont tip we asked to speak to a manager and found out that the person who had said it to use was indeed the bar manager. Best Sushi in the City! From seasoned sushi veterans to hibachi novices, there is no better place than Nakama. Their Happy Hour special include half-off appetizers, sushi rolls and drinks! I would particularly reccomend their Catarpillar Roll, the Calimari Steak Tips and their delicious Chocolate Martinis. PROS: Beautiful environment and great service. CONS: A little on the expensive side, but worth it.
Great Atmosphere Nakama has good food and an even better atmosphere, located right in the Southside. Sushi is good, but the restaurant really specializes in hibachi. Waitstaff is quick and friendly.
Thrilled Awesome experience, friendly service and entertaining hibatchi chefs! I've been to the other "Hibatchi-type" restaruants, and they just dont compare to Nakama....from the service to the quality of food. Kudos Nakama.
There's got to be better sushi . . . A friend and I love sushi - we have experienced rolls, sashimi, tataki, etc. in many restaurants from South Florida to Seattle. She found an advertisement for Nakama in the airline magazine during her trip here to visit me, so we decided to give it a try (I recently relocated here from Florida). excellent food This Japanese steak house and sushi will delight you. The habachi cooked meals are prepared before you eyes. The experienced chefs make it a fun evening. Start out with some delicious sushi and you will have a great meal.
