Currently standing in the cold with an infant being told I can’t get my glasses (which are already paid for) because I didn’t make an appt. NOTHING in the text message nor the email say to make an appt. “Your glasses are ready for pick up”. That’s it. So I came to pick them up. Now being shooed away. Now I have to find a new eye doctor after years of being a patient here and drive 30 minutes home only to pack up my kid and drive back in a few hours.

The doctor had a bad attitude and offended me. The lady I asked to help me find a frame that would fit the lenses I had acted like it was a big deal. I have been a patient for over 20 years. I won’t be back.

Do not go to My Eye Dr they are horrible! I had an eye exam on 7/31/2020 with Dr Carla L (she was great!) in the Grayslake, Illinois office. I had a regular eye exam and also to see about getting contacts. Dr Carla thought she could make contacts work for me and I was billed $484.43 and it was charged to my credit card. Before charging it I asked if contacts didn't work would I get my money back and was assured it would be. Trial contacts were ordered and 2 weeks later they came in but did not work for me. Worst experience ever, customer service is very bad and they don’t ask if you want certain services. You are told after seeing the doctor you were charged for things you did not want or need. An they did not consult parents for minors and stated the minor asked for the services. They do not have to worry about me visiting again or recommending anyone to their place of business. If I were you, I would think twice about visiting this business.

Where do I start!... Well, 1st, someone from management or corporate needs to check this location out in North Charleston and evaluate and educate them on proper Customer Service, Inventory, Order Tracking and not wasting customers time and gas money. I have had not 1, but 2 Awful experiences at this same location. On both visits, I paid for and order specific glasses, and both times I was notified by email, text and phone call my order was complete and ready for pick up. Where to start? My family was very satisfied as patients at Ossip Optometry for many years. Then, last year, Ossip changed to MyEyeDoctor. We all had a general feeling that the quality of our exams had deteriorated, but didn’t think it was necessary to make a change at the time. Today was a crazy visit. I had my three kids all in for an appt. with Dr. Grimm. He was super patient and explained to me and issues he may have seen and answered all my questions. Also I really, really wish I could remember the man today who helped assist with my kids glasses. He had to deal with each one of those little devils but this man was super friendly, kind, and funny.
