while I do recommend them because they are friendly and make good glasses. but their associates need training to ensure they are giving consistent information to customers. I was told my glasses would be here today when I called on Friday. today they said the 25th. huge difference! I want my glasses
I was recommended to MyEyeDr. by my insurance company. I had to wait. I felt that I was just an annoyance to them. They were supposed to contact me when my glasses were ready. I got one pair. The second ? They told me, that they had to call the lab. Why? Because they were, supposedly on back order. The only reason I got my first pair, is because I kept calling them. I filed a complaint. Even though we have to make appointments and wear a mask, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had at the wye doctor. They take the time to talk about payments, what is covered or not covered, the next steps. The Doctor I met last night was wonderful, she took the time to examine and to listen to all of my questions. During this time of COVID, we all wish to be safe. They made me feel more than safe, they gave me hospitality and professionalism and safety all in one. They found a new patient for life...
In Hamden, CT: our insurance company recommended this location since they participated in our plan, several years ago. The original OD that examined our eyes was wonderful, Dr Blake. He made the visit very worthwhile. The past 3-4 years they have not had a consistent OD. The one we saw in 12/20 was abrupt and intolerant of questions asked, the exam lasted only 15 mins at most. I have been waiting 3 weeks for my daughter's glasses and to date they still do not confirm when they will deliver it to me, this is too long considering the difficulty my daughter has to see. This was in New Haven

Called in November to schedule an appointment and once I got an answer my information was taken down and I was told someone else would call back to schedule an appointment BUT I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK so I then proceeded to book their next available appointment which was January 12th online ( keep in mind that I booked this appointment on December 7th). outstanding service from exam to choosing eyewear and fitment. Even in these tough times due to Covid, they are very helpful and prompt. highly recommend.
My daughter and I had a horrible experience at a previous optometrist and called and explained what happened and they were able to get my daughter seen within hours of calling. My daughter needed a prescription for glasses primarily as hers had broken. They did an exam and treated us both very well and understood that my daughter has disabilities and that she was agitated from the previous experience and walked her through everything in a calm and sincere manner.
