We recently stayed at My Place Hotel when participating in a dog show at the Harpo Center. The location was fantastic - such an easy walk to the event center and local restaurants. However, there are many choices of hotels to stay at in the area and My Place won't be getting my business in the future. I stayed on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and looked like it was recently updated. Not bad at all. I was surprised to see some negative reviews on here. Because I had a good experience. I would stay again.
How you rate the hotel really depends on if you were just looking for an inexpensive room, or an extended stay with a kitchen. As an inexpensive hotel, My Place is a great hotel. Excellent location. The rooms are in good condition. The bed is very comfortable. The price is excellent. I would recommend it. But if you are looking for an "extended stay" hotel with the ability to cook and use the kitchenette, this is not the hotel you want to book. They do not supply any pots, pans, dishes, or silverware.
