More than a Boutique – The other day I was walking with my daughter and her family in downtown Round Rock. We happened into Envy Salon quite by accident. Realizing it was more than a boutique, I ask some questions about my hair. Well, I wound up getting my hair colored and am I happy. My gray is covered and all that awful brassy red cast is gone. What a fun place! – What a beautiful salon. I had my hair done at Envy and was delighted with the cut and color both. Cirstan did my tint and matched my color perfectly. I am very happy with my haircut as well. I was a little apprehensive at first because she looks so young, but I was very pleased with my results. I made an appointment for my daughter's prom updo and am excited by the photographs they showed me of their bridal and updo styles. I will definitely go back again.
Great experience – I walked in for my appointment and was greeted by the friendly receptionist. After browsing the handmade jewelry for a few minutes Julie took me back and did a beautiful job on my highlights. They were exactly what I wanted and the haircut was perfect. She was very fast and accurate. The other 13 stylists seemed very friendly and looked professional. I saw some other great haircuts while I was processing. Two Bad Experiences at Envy Are Enough! – Six months ago, I was informed the day before my appointment that my stylist would not be there, and that the manager would be cutting and highlighting my hair, which I did not have a problem with. After my appointment, at check-out the receptionist told me the price, which was $30 more than my regular stylist charges. HORRIBLE SALON WITH EVEN MORE HORRIBLE PRICES! – This salon is so overpriced. You could get what they provide at pretty much any other salon for a lot less. The owner, Mary, keeps the prices high because there's "not much else in Round Rock to choose". Most of the stylists there are friendly but there are a few that are rude. Several of the stylists come in 20 or 30 minutes late while you are sitting there waiting for your appointment, and at times don't even show up at all. ROSE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – If you can get past the pretentious hold music and Euro voice for Envy, it is really worth walking into and getting your hair done. I made my appointment with Rose, an experienced stylist from California. Now I am originally from NY and used to high caliber stylists. New to Round Rock - Look no further - Envy Salon is your place! – Moved to Texas 2 yrs. ago and you know what it's like finding a new hairdresser and a new salon where you feel comfortable. Expensive mistake – I had my hair highlighted with a young lady ( Laura) that appeared to know what she was doing.. She was pleasant enough.. She was fast and what I thought was efficient only to find that 2 days later while styling my hair at home I noticed the back of my head had LINES of color running across my head..
