Popular wisdom holds that this is the restaurant that kicked off the latest round in the fine dining craze in the North Bay. That may or may not be true. What is a fact is that chef Cindy Pawlcyn, who has since been influential in the creation of many other Bay Area restaurants, started here and is still involved in kitchen operations at her flagship restaurant. The atmosphere at Mustards is upscale roadhouse with an airy dining room and walls that are almost entirely made of windows. The staff is lively and and efficient.

It was very good food (halibut & fish special tostada). Portions were modest. Since we were traveling and not sure when we would arrive we didn't have a reservation for the limited tables and ate at the bar. Service was exemplary, fellow bar customers were not. Try to plan ahead and get a reservation.
First time was mid-1990's and the food, service and ambiance was beyond amazing. Fast forward to April 2016... It's like I never left!!!! Food A++++, service off the charts amazing, and ambiance is second to none. One of my favorite places, and I've been to, and eaten at, top places all over the world. Highly recommend it!!
I would rate this restaurant in my Top 3 and that's saying something....
Amazing food, atmosphere, and people! We were in October. Our waiter was so great. I ate a simple grilled chicken but the flavors were incredible.
