I love Muddy Waters, is perhaps the best food, drinks and service in Uptown. I don't give them 5 stars because they don't take reservations (only big parties) and it's a bit expensive.

I like what this place stands for and have had two positive experiences here. This time was terrible. I have a valid license that includes yellow papers. Apparently this in and of itself warranted a lecture from my bartender and an arrogant take that my valid ID would be run by a manager even when it was clearly valid and I am 31. Not even a procedural issue more a your sleeve tattoo server couldn't handle carding me at 31 with the most basic amount of respect. Fuck your hipster scene if it's like that.
