Purchased a computer at the end of January 2017 and it came with a 100 rebate I submitted all my documentation on time status says it was accepted and I would receive my rebate with in 8-10 weeks it has now been 12 weeks I have been in contact with the company numerous times and they said they were going to look into it and expedite it 2 weeks ago and still nothing. very disappointed with this company with how they handle rebates when they advertise it. They are ripping off customers. 

Business response:

MSI did check the customer's rebate tracking #***************** for a AIO Gaming 24T model. According to our records payment was requested 04/27/2017 so the customer will received the reward card in the amount of $100.00 within 2 weeks time. Also the reason for the delay was the 3rd party rebate company we use is behind and are catching up with these older requests. We do apologize for this and do look to the customer getting her reward card shortly. Thank you,

Offered little to no support whatsoever for a BIOS lockout. Gave generic links for end users to look up on their forums and places blame for faultiness on end users. 

Business response:

The customer did contact us twice regarding this issue via the online support form. Once back in 2015 and again 4/10/2017. We did give some suggestions on the last request but for this when a password is set for the bios and forgotten there is no other option than the whole bios needs to be replaced. We do not have any failsafe or password removal utility for a bios password. And since this an older model that is out of warranty there is nothing we can do for it. Thank you,

Terrible customer support. Rebates are given on a "reward card" instead of a gift card or check and the card charges fees. Equipment is good but the company is difficult to work with. 

Business response:

For all our mal in rebates for products that are offering one, payment is in the form of a rewards card could be AE or Visa is subject to change. Now it can be used for purchases and there are no fees attached to the card when used. Now with that said the only way a fee would be incurred is if the customer did not use the card before it expired and was used after the expiration date on it. We are sorry the customer feels this way but that is noted in the terms and conditions when the rebate is applied for. Thank you,

They do not honor their warranty system and will attempt to find any possible way out of it. I literally have a graphics card that is within the 3 year warranty as of the time I am writing this... That has not been overclocked because it can't even run at stock clocks stable and they said "unless it doesn't run at all we will not honor the warranty". So they're putting in stipulations and changing the warranty in real time- on a per customer basis- doing anything to get out of having to honor their word. So I'm going to wri... read more

After looking into this complaint we do find that the customer had submitted the card for an RMA on our website. The RMA was rejected due to the card being out of warranty already. We found that the card was sold as a refurbished card and they only come with a 6 month warranty. So since the card was not a brand new package when purchased but a refurb it does not qualify for the 3 year warranty. We are sorry that the customer feels that way but we are not trying to find any possible way out of the warranty. Thank you,

Let me first say that in the beginning, things were just fine. I had to submit a RMA and it went well. Upon receiving my laptop back, it was damage. Now dealing with them agan, it's a nightmare that will not end. I cannot get it back, and no one at the service center wants to help. All i hear is false promises, or that someone from a supervisor level or higher will call me back. This is not a UPS issue, as i have called them in attempt to work with them and they state MSI RMA Dept cannot give them the damaged goods to inspec... read more

Have been in contact with customer and this was finally resolved when UPS did return the package after stating had never been picked up or was ready. There was some back and forth but I did remain on this for the customer and was able to have all repairs made and it shipped back immediately. I do understand his frustration but a lot of it was out of our control but again we did take responsibility for our mistakes and will work to improve these types of received damage claims.
