I can not say enough good about Mr. Shawarma the food is always fresh and delicious but today what i saw blew me away. A homeless man walked in ready to pay and the guy behind the counter, Dolev, gave him a shwarma and a drink no charge. He did it quietly and with no one knowing as not to cause the man embarrassment.What an amazing act of kindness. I can not wait to come back and have a falafel.
Very good food. Menu is small and limited options available. Definitely worth the trip if in the williamsburg, norfolk, and VA beach areas....
The food is beyond amazing. I haven't had such delicious food in a long time. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The perfect addition to the eclectic array of restaurants here in Ghent. My new favorite. All they need to add is some good strong Middle Eastern coffee!
Best falafel I've had in years and great service. Definitely a new favorite!
Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful about ordering. I love the authenticity of hearing Hebrew all the around me when I go in. It's a favorite spot for Israelis, Ghent folk, kosher-keepers, and random people off the street. Food is shockingly delicious every time, and for days after I have it, I can't wait to get back for more!
