absolutely horrendous customer service. I work at a local hospital and have to call the Mountain Home VA for authorizations for veterans all the time. Almost every single time I have called them for the 2 years I have worked with them, they are never helpful. Not only are they not helpful, they are rude and never follow through with what they state they will do. This VA hospital has been the worse, I have transferred from the Alvin C York in Murfreesboro TN. They refuse to look into the files from there and see my medical injuries or any report. A ER nurse said "I don't see anything here in regards to your back". I explained that the records were transferred and her response was "Oh that's a different file". This hospital allows the information desk employees to put her hands on the vets, to prevent them from entering the hospital. This woman put her hands on my arm, trying to tell me that if I don't have an appointment, I'm not allowed in the hospital. I was there to drop off a prescription to the pharmacy, which requires no appointment. I filed complaints, and one of the patient advocate told me to let it happen because, since the employee is female, nobody would take me seriously.
