We just went through labor and delivery and a postpartum stay at Mt Sinai on the upper east side. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. I felt so cared for by the amazing nursing and support staff at the Cohen center, both on the 2nd floor labor/delivery unit and on the 7th floor postpartum unit. I could not be happier with the care that my family received. I actually cried when it was time to leave because I was sad to leave the staff. Special shout out to Shoshana and Erin, our primary nurses on the 7th floor. xoxo- A... read more

One week after, I cal...Continue Reading

My husband recently had an aortic valve and root replacement at Mt. Sinai. At the time of admission, we filled out numerous forms listing our primary insurance as Medicare and our secondary insurance as Aetna. It had previously been United Healthcare, so were doubly careful to list our new secondary insurance on each form. Since the surgery we have received separate bills from the hospital, the surgeon, the cardiologist, the anesthesiologist, the pathologist, the radiologist, and the endocronologist-\-\all submitted to the w... read more

Was asked what we wanted for My Father when he was admitted and got a blood infection and aspirated pneumonia due to hospital not changing iv or feeding tubes, I responded I would like to at the least see him get back to how he first came into the hospital, The Bitch said "well that's not going to happen". Killed my Father and since he was already ill and elder his life didn't matter, Hospital got away with Murder!!!

I've been a patient and very familar with Mount Sinai Hospital for over 40 years. My brother suffered from asthma as a child and we were always in the emergency room. At the age of 13, I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease and was immediately put on Dialysis. I was fortunate enough to receive a kidney transplant from my dad at Mount Sinai. The doctors' and nurses became my second family.Make a long story short, 5 kidney transplants later, I am still a living testimony of how well I was cared for from the doctors', nur... read more
