The line moves quickly, and is sooo worth it. Best grilled shrimp Po boy in the city

Pam, thanks. Mother's has always operated semi-cafeteria/ self service style, a throwback to its early days as a deli for warehousemen in the neighborhood.
Tourist Trap food was subpar , don’t waste your money nothing was seasoned like we would expect New Orleans food to taste. The little black lady that was working the front area tables is very rude. The young white lady we had in the back was very good, even though the 75 dollars worth of food we purchased was disgusting, and that’s being overly nice.
Food was great. Hope to go back again this weekend
Famous Ferdi po boy is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Bread pudding is best I’ve ever had! When in NOLA it’s a place you need to visit. You won’t be sorry.

I went to Mother’s because a friend of mine said it was good. It was ok but you can’t say the staff was good. The cashier was so unprofessional. My wife ask could she get a smoked sausage and a hot sausage, and the cashier said very bluntly “no.” Then you go and seat yourself and the person comes and gets your ticket with no smile, a semi good morning like she doesn’t want to be there.
