The atmosphere is amazing, the food is delicious and the wait is so worth it!!!! I visit Mother's every chance we get while visiting New Orleans. It's a wonderful experience.
The best Gumbo and sweet potato pie I’ve ever had
The aroma tantalized me as we stood in a line to be served up authentic creole home cooking by Mother’s staff who were friendly and efficient as they patiently took orders of a line of eager and hungry guests. Once we ordered, and paid for our meal we sat down and soon our food appeared at our table. It’s all as good as it smelled and large portions. I was on vacation last week in New Orleans and as always I stopped into Mother's. This time I stopped in for a late breakfast. The food was so delicious. I had a good amount of food on my plate, that I could not finish it. Then I ordered my bread pudding, that I love so much, to go, because I was too full to eat it.
Just get the house favorite Po-Boy....Mmmmmm!!!
Pretty dirty restaurant The beans and rice were somewhat less than average, the ham was dry as a bone , and the potato salad was indescribably terrible I would advise all I know to NEVER go there
Here for the weekend from Baltimore. I never had seafood gumbo that good in my whole 28 years of living,the potatoes salad was seasoned so well. Whoever granny they got back there cooking is heaven send.
I’ve been waiting over an hour now for my food when others that sat down after me got theirs. Waiter says some takes longer. Would never come here again. This is just plain ridiculous.
The good at Mothers was awesome. Ralph had a sandwich and I had ham green beans red beans and rice and collard greens. The plates were as full as we were when we left.
