Excellant food. A little different way of serving. Everyone was nice. Waitress gave us a serving of bread pudding to sample. I really wanted to lick the plate clean. It was like warm maple syrup poured over it. Would go back if I make New Orleans again.
Heard it was a "go to" place, so we checked it out. Staff was friendly, food tasted very fresh, and enjoyed their Bloody Marys. I also liked reading about their history on the menu.

The best restaurant I've ever eaten that it has the best ham delicious , first time eating there and I ate there yesterday it was super good well worth the wait
Visited 24 years ago and the quality of food,the wonderful staff and atmosphere was the same. Read they had a bad break with Katrina but they brought it back to the great place it was and is

Local famous quaint restaurant. Food is like it or leave it. But if you are Interested in new orleans food and atmosphere, go here. If you are a picky tourist who wants to be catered to, not here. Good new orleans place. Local staff which will give you the full new orleans flavor. ....�
Eating there is an experience! I loved it. I had to wait for my delicious fried chicken but well worth it and the turnips wow!
