Best drinks in town! – My coworkers and I went to Happy Hour at Mother's last week and we were all impressed by their cocktails. They have a large variety of drinks to choose from and their rates a reasonable.
meh – Tried to make a reservation for a Thursday afternoon at 11:45 and was promptly told "no" so we pushed it to 12:30. Showed up with my party of 3 and was shown to our table. Granted there isn't a lot of space in the place, as it seems they have tried to cram waaay too many tables in, but we were seated at an isle table right in the direct path of everyone. Great Place for a Baby Shower! – I think the waiter's name was Jason. We had a large party (we had reservations, that's the only way to go!) of 10 or so ladies for a baby shower. The waiter took great care of us, made excellent recommendations, seemed to really care about his job. We all tried some of everything on the menu and it was all worth going back for! Cinnamon rolls and scones with the French-pressed coffee (at your table!) started off our meal. Then I indulged in the waffles with Oregon raspberries. YUM!
Perfect place to take your mother – Recently took my mom here for birthday. We all loved it. Great server food and atmosphere. Will go back.
fantastique – Had lunch a few weeks ago. still remember how great it was. planning on taking my family there tonight. the wait staff are fun and sharp. the food was memorable; i had a chicken sandwich will all kinds of good stuff on it. i remember the jalapeños. ooh baby was that good. highly recommended. great atmosphere.

Underwhelmed – my food was way undercooked, while a dining companion's food was overcooked. when she asked to send hers back, they wanted to debate whether or not it was done right. it was black! she and i agreed to switch, just so that we could get on with it.
Shocked by abrupt, rude service. – My first experience at Mother's after years of living in Portland and hearing about this great restaurant was with a large group, around 10. We had a reservation. The first words out of the waiter's mouth were that he couldn't split the check and we would have to figure out ahead of time how we were going to pay.
