The Best Place for Steak – I have been to Philly's Morton's a number of times. Everytimes I go it gets better and better. The steaks truly melt in your mouth. I've been to all the steak places in Philly but I find myself always coming back to Mortons. The service is top notch. When you have excellent service with great meal...you can't ask for anything more. Love this place.
USDA prime beef, elegant tableside service and mammoth martinis. – In Short With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and crea... read more
Perfect dining experience – I bought a gift certificate for my parents to celebrate their anniversary at Morton's in Philadelphia. My parents had such a wonderful meal. They reported that the food was excellent; my dad said it was one of the best steaks he has ever had. What set Morton's apart was the service - the wait staff treated my parents so kindly and so many of them wished them a happy anniversary. My parents were so happy with my and my sister's choice for their celebration dinner. I would recommend Morton's to anyo... read more
best steaks – The quality of the steaks here are top notch. My only complaint is that the prices for some wines are ridculous.
User review by rsmthekid – Each of many visits have been pleasurable. In particular, we had a terrific evening celebrating our son's college graduation with a dozen others, who were dining at Morton's for the first time. Provided with a private room, outstanding service and attention to detail, and great food and wine, the experience could not have been better (especially considering that the FOX NFL crew was in the room next to ours!). My wife enjoys the filet mignon, I lust for the NY strip, and my son is partial to the po... read more
One step above the rest – I recently moved to the Philadelphia from NYC and was so happy to see a Morton's in historic Center City. I have enjoyed Morton's in the past and was hoping that this would live up to its already amazing reputation. I could not believe how good and "unique" their serivce is. I do not think our waiter missed a beat. And if he did, the General manager was there to help out and make our experience even better. The NY Strip is unmatched, the lyonnaise potatoes are a must have and the godiva cake to top ... read more
Great Steaks! – We recently had dinner at the King of Prussia location and it was great! It's so nice having a location in the mall- we got our Christmas shopping done and had a great meal all at the same time. Service was excellent (ask for Cara- she was great) and the food was outstanding- the prices are a little high, but the portion sizes are HUGE- we had leftovers for 2 days :) Definiely worth it.
The best steak around. – I love Morton's food--But I hate the location! I liked the old location much more. I used to be able to find on-street parking before, but now that they moved to Walnut St., it's impossible and I hate parking garages and valet. Also, what's up with the upstairs location? An elevator or a couple of flights of stairs to get into the restaurant? Very inconvient. I'm glad they opened a location in King Of Prussia. That's where I go now. Anyway, the food and service is great!
Terrible Experience – We've been to many Mortons across the U.S. and Canada and recently had an unbelievably horrible experience at the Philadelphia location. We had to beg someone to come by so that we could order wine, were missing bread plates, steak knifes, sides that we had ordered. To top it all off though, the four of us all ordered steaks. Three were fine, the fourth was delivered very rare, when it had been ordered medium rare. It was taken back to the kitchen after 15 minutes wait only to return completely charred.... read more
