When we started talking we were already $2K higher than what I expected, the posted price was $2K over the advertised internet price. The fine print also said that the internet price was not valid on cash offers and only valid if the full amount of the vehicle was financed through an "approved lender". That's the set up, already pretty cheesy. Then as the sales rep and I negotiated an actual doable price and agreed on a number - the sales manager overrode the rep with a number that was +$4.2K higher than what I agreed to wit... read more

Added $1000 to the price because there was a $1000 trade in credit that my trade didnt qualify for so the list price was only accurate if you had a qualified trade. For no trade or unqualified trade it was $1000 more. When I contacted the dealer they didnt mention the $1000 and the list price was the best price. Didn't find out about the $1000 til I got there.

Ended up buying from McCarthy-Morse after weeks of back and forth. They were patient and didn't pressure too much. Cars sold fast, though, so if one's on the lot, it could be gone in a day. I found that out the hard way. One thing I wasn't super pleased with is that they didn't negotiate much. I offered low on some cars and instead of coming back with a counter offer, they just declined it and went right back to the sticker price.

I like that they respond quickly and communicate often. I had corresponded on multiple occasions throughout the week with Harrison, my sales person. I drove out of state for a Tahoe they had posted for 15780. It was a 2 and a half hour ride. Once I arrive and test drove the truck we sat down to talk numbers...price changed to 16780! I showed the sales person the price and he denied it. Horrible experience and a waste of a day on the road.This company honestly has not earned the one star requirement to post my review.
