Dr. Scherlis and Michele Thornton are Superheroes! I have a severe case of Trypanophobia. Dr. Scherlis knows exactly how to deal with my anxiety. He acknowledges and validates my fears and apprehension. Dr. Sherlis checks in on me frequently when I come in for my appointments. He is very calming and reassuring. Honestly, he is amazing. Another great visit. Been seeing him since Dec 2001 and he has been a great help not with the issue he’s treating but I respect the advice he he provides me regarding other medical issues.

I've been going to TVPM Clinic for over 20 years. Dr. Scherlis is a wonderful pain management specialist. He has the magic touch with giving pain injections that work well to help relieve my pain. By also using oral medication, I'm able to continue to be happy and productive at 74, instead of sitting in a recliner all day, waiting to die. As a bonus, his bedside manner is fantastic! He's simply the best!!
He did not do an updated MRI before giving me a Cervical Epidural due to herniated disc. After the procedure I have left arm weakness, can't close my hand and severe muscle spasm in my upper left arm. His assistant "AMY" continued to minimize the severe pain at 3 after appts. She gave me a RX for Tramadol which I did not ask for nor did I fill it and gave me an appt for 2 months later. At no time was I able to see Dr. before or after the procedure, only Amy. In Alabama it is legal to use low thc cbd oil. Besides chronic pain issues I am also epileptic. My seizures were never controlled with pharmaceutical meds, so when cbd oil became a legal option my neurologist suggest I try it. Since then I have not had any seizures. Dr. Scherlis did a urine screen which detected have to stop using it. I respectfully declined and they refused to treat me anymore. However i found that increasing my cbd dosages works better for pain that their pharmaceuticals.
