Update on Ida Lawsuit which has not gone anywhere, the attorney's at Bart don't even bother calling me. Since it isn't a accident claim I suppose they can't make the money they make on those types of claims..Lawsuit against Louisiana citizens for damage from Ida hurricane.
Finally got a call from my lawyer ,GG Gibbs. After 5 months of representing me that they decided not to anymore. Everything was good until the insurance denied my claim. Morris Bart does not like going to court for his clients. I never once met my lawyer it was always done over the phone and that was little to nothing. I live in Lake Charles area and they gave me a lawyer from New Orleans. Everything we discussed over the phone she wouldn't remember. Everything is done over the phone which is a red flag. They are impossible to reach. I called the firm in Lake Charles but am having to deal with the one in New Orleans. Very confused at the way they do business. The lawyer I was assigned is MIA and they will not tell me anything said a supervisor will call me. I have not received any calls. I am looking into hiring another firm.
Had a Ida lawsuit for over a year and I never hear from them. Probably should have never filed suit after paying them 30% plus whatever fees they end up hitting me with and then having to pay appx. 30% to the IRS and even having to pay IRS taxes on their share of the money I might get 10 bucks to completely rebuild the rental. I'll never do this again and I'm sure the Louisiana Citizens State Insurance division of our corrupt government will be happy to know we now invest in Mississippi.
They never call you to keep you updated. You are constantly calling them and speaking with different people. There time frame is different from every associate. When you try to address your concerns and complaints they considered me making threats and hung up on me. They do not care about you or your well being. I have had multiple lawyers in my day and this service, I won’t even call it a law firm, is horrible. They act like you are working for them and get real short and ugly fast.
