One of my favorite local places. Weekdays are best to avoid the crowd.
Pancakes and beer. Awesome. Service was great and prices reasonable.
My fiancé and I live in Wausau, and we come down to Madison to grocery shop at Hy-Vee. We stopped at Monty'S on Saturday. The food was excellent! I especially liked the apple and quince on my Monty's Cristo! We come down once a month, and we think we found our "go to" place!
Food was great fast service and staff was awesome. The food was fresh. We will visit again.
This is one place where I can bring the whole family and we all have a variety of choices of good food. (We have meat-eaters, vegetarians, and a vegan in our family). The home-style food is excellent with fresh local ingredients including real mashed potatoes and locally made ice cream. We like that breakfast is available all day with both a scramble of the day and a vegan scrambler as well as amazing banana walnut pancakes. And it all tastes so good!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is great. The atmosphere retro and so comfortable. We need one in the northern Milwaukee area!!
Vegan menu is outstanding... Order Meatless Loaf of the Gods made out of carrots, mushrooms, onions, cheddar cheese, garlic, spices topped off with ginger-cashew sauce. My wife enjoyed her falafel wrap.
Good food with a homey feel. Gluten sensitive friendly. They always know what has gluten in it, even the specials. Kids love the Mac and cheese. There's a dessert case full of cookies, pies, and donuts.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. It is good for a casual yet delicious meal. My fiancé and I ordered strictly from their vegan menu (which was already on the table, not a special request) and we were beyond impressed. The vegan milkshakes were to die for! I am very pleased with our choice and think this is a perfect spot for vegans and omnivores alike!
