Best tex mex omelette ever! Busy place but not a bad wait (10 min) and service is great. Honestly knowing what I know now I would gladly wait 30min if I had to.
Monty's Blue Plate Diner has been a favorite of mine since they opened. My friend and I used to eat there every Tuesday for years - we were called "the Tuesday ladies", and the waitstaff came with our customary glass of red wine without us even having to order it. I have always loved their varied and creative menu. It is one eatery that has kept up with the quality and service through the years.
Great comfort food in a lovely neighborhood; continuously tasty everytime I visit.
My family and I have never been there and decided to try it and just loved the food and service! I would recommend going there for sure!

Had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli, red wine onion sauce, and dinner roll. It was very good. I will definitely recommend and will go back. The only downside I noticed was the air conditioning was really cold.
I ordered breakfast and it tastes much better than I thought it could be. Waitress was very fast and nice. Loved the atmosphere!
My family is from Iowa and we were in Madison for the day yesterday. I was looking for a unique, family friendly restaurant that had good variety on their menu. Definitely happy with my pick. A short wait for a table on a busy and HOT Saturday during lunch time. Fantastic selection on their menu- everything from breakfast to dinner and included made from scratch, home cooking to vegan.
