When my dad was released from the hospital we decided to move him to Monterrey care center. My family and I are very grateful with the treatment we received. Since then my father has passed away, but we all wished we had choose this place and not scioto pointe. The staff was very thoughtful and helped us a lot when he was transitioning.
I came yesterday to visit my my brother Randall he is sitting in the dining room he is soaking wet I take him back to his room and change him myself I don't understand why this place is so run down the ceilings leak when it rains it needs painted the visitors bathroom floor is disgusting the smell of urine is overwhelming how do they stay open.
The staff helped alot. And are very nice. The food is tasty and quiet good. I had a delicious cheeseburger with everything on it it actually tasted great. When you hit the call button they are there and ready to help. I like Monterey care facility. I am here short term and had no problems with the staff or the place in general. A good place to rehab in. I left the hospital and it was aay worse than you can imagine.
My concern are the meals they are getting worse. Friday my mom had a sandwich which was only bread and a slice of cheese. Unless we are bringing in food she wouldnt be getting much at all.
Mom has been here 2.5 years. There is no perfect facility however unit 2 has some of the most caring and compassionate aides. The activities department is so full of enthusiasm and treat the residents with dignity and care. It makes my heart warm to know when I can't be there, she is in good hands.
