I won a Montana rifle at an elk foundation banquet. We've been going back and forth since July 9th for a larger magazine box. Montana is going off of SAAMI specs. SAAMI is outdated. The bullet length I am needing is 3.60 and the ID of the box that the rifle came with was 3.363. This two month long fiasco I still have no box. Wait, I take that back.. Ordered my son his first rifle in January a left hand alr in 6.5 was told it would be May. Was told in May that rifle would ship june15. It’s now August and still no call, and no rifle. Because I couldn’t have the LOP shortened at factory for my son I needed to use a gunsmith which usually would take 1 to 2 months and there’s just no way I can have rifle cut down and muzzle break installed before deer season. They have had my rifle since February because it shoots about a two inch group. It is supposed to arrive the week and all they did was put the bottom metal on at spec. I will bet money it won’t shoot any better. I will NEVER buy another @montanarifle again.

In the market for a new left hand rifle. Was very interested in the alr but after reading reviews of others bad reviews ill go elsewhere
My wife bought her own left handed 300 wsm. This thing is by far one of the best guns I have ever able to shoot that wasn’t my own. Very accurate out to 1 km and immune to the wind up to .6km. Felt great when shouldered and is not bulky at all.she took a nice whitetail with it. She shot him on the run too. — with Sierra NotAfraid.
I ordered a rifle, took a year to arrive. Bolt and safety sticky and difficult. Sent back to them for repair. Came back only slightly better. I was told "sticky bolt and safety are subjective". Its a semi custom gun that took over a year to build and you I can't get one with a good smooth bolt and safety. :(
