Best Haircut...Great space – With everything that is going on and the economy situation I was so exited to have found such a cool salon...Not only is the space great and the prices very affordable, but from the moment you walk in the staff is very nice and helpful. The goddess of hair – I started going to Miwa back in the '80s when she was the Creative Director of Vidal Sassoon. I moved to Europe many years ago but I never miss a visit to her when I'm in NYC. Not is she only the most creative and inspired stylist I have ever encountered, she is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She always greats me like an old friend, and indeed I consider her to be one.
Best haircut anywhere – I have followed Miwa in every move she has made for over 15 years. She is not only a superb professional but she has an art director's sensibility about what looks good on/suits you. And she is a wonderful human being. Barbara is a FABULOUS colorist and I would not let anyone else touch my hair either for cut or color. Miwa and Alex Hair Salon – I have been searching for the perfect hair salon for over 20 years. I was so happy when I found Miwa and Alex. Miwa is a genius for cuts and Barbara is probably the best colorist in New YOrk City. People are constantly asking me where I have had my hair done. The salon is peaceful, professional and friendly. I actually look forward to going there. I cannot recommend them enough.
Best hair coloring and cutting – I am a long standing customer and have been going to Nathalie for a cut (following her from one location back to Miwa-Alex) and Rozanne for color for a number of years. The salon staff are friendly and not at all intimidating. The space is open and light. Pat gives the best head massage when washing hair on the flat bed, so that I look forward to that part as well. great color and cuts – I've been a customer for almost 10 years. I always get a great cut and color at a reasonable price. Damaris is a great stylist and colorist. Customer service is stellar, everyone is always so nice and most stylists have been there for years which means it must be a nice place to work. All around a very comfortable and professional place.
Nathalie, my favorite stylist – I have had the good fortune of finding Nathalie over 15 years ago and I have never looked back! She takes nothing for granted and devotes her amazing talents in giving me exactly the cut I want. I wear my hair short and I get so many compliments--I have had women stop and ask me for my stylists name! She's the best!! Needless to say I would recommend her and the salon without hesitation.
Best hair cuts in ny – Nathalie is the best stylist in New York---I'm thrilled she stayed in the US and came back to Miwa-Alex. The salon is friendly, relaxed and comfortable. Nathalie has been styling my short hair for well over 10 years---her cuts look great from the start and last for weeks. While I have short, fine hair, I have referred friends with long, curly hair and their cuts look fabulous as well.
