Clueless stylist, horrible fumes I tried Mitchells in Kenwood after being disappointed by a rude stylist at the Mitchells in Northgate. The girl I had was horrible. When I asked for her opinion on how I should cut my hair she said "I don't know" and "it's up to you" over and over. I'm sorry, but if I'm paying you that much, you need to have an opinion. Overpriced, Incompetent Hair Stylists I tried this salon on a recommendation from a friend. I loved the personality of the first girl I tried (Kim N.), but she was definitely newer and not yet adept at doing the layering techniques needed for short hair to look nice while growing out. I decided to advance a few levels and try Michelle for $55+ (little pricey). DO NOT GO HERE. I went in to get my hair highlighted at the Kenwood location by a "salon director" and paid $140. My highlights turned out chunky and spotted throughout my hair. The stylist didn't even touch the back of my head and most of my highlights were uneven and miscolored. So I had to go in the next day to have someone else fix it, and they Ctually made it worse. I then went back a THIRD time and just had them color all of my hair brown because the highlights were beyond fixing. So after everything I had gone through... read more

Avoid the Maternity Massage – Not a fan of Mitchell's maternity massage. Who decided it was a good idea to put a pregnant woman on here back for a half hour? I was feeling shortness of breath, dizziness and I could feel my pulse it my abdomen from all the pressure. A folded-up towel was placed beneath one hip so I was lop-sided. When I said I was uncomfortable the masseuse just stopped because she didn't know what else to do. Awful.

AVOID! – I love to get my nails done and have for years! I mainly use Sableux Salon and Spa but was sad when my nail tech left, so I tried Mitchells. Well lets just say I will NEVER be back! Two of my friends and I went into the salon in Kenwood for pedicures. One out of the three of us had an overall good experience. My one friend had it the worst, her two big toes were so sore and sinsitive after her pedicure that she had to be careful what shoes to wear.
