Great place for any event My wife's family is addicted to this place. They can't get enough. So far they have had 3 weddings, 3 birthday parties, 2 baptisms, 3 birthday parties, a baby shower, and 2 Christmas parties here. World Class Wedding Site 5 stars all the way! My sister recently was married here. It was beautiful. The staff was amazing. She had over 200 guests and I was worried about the weather, but The Mitchell House has a beautiful covered pavillion in the garden and a covered collonade to the back patio and we didn't have to worry about the rain at all. A Reception to Remember The Mitchell House and Garden is a very elegant place to have a wedding reception. They are conviently located and offer a wonderful atmosphere. They can cater your event or you can have something in the Garden area. It is very spacious and your guests will feel right at home. The Perfect Day The Mitchell House and Gardens in Lexington, SC was the perfect venue for my October reception. I looked a several other reception sites in Lexington, but non of them had the close personal connection that I felt at Mitchell House. Planning my recepetion was a breeze. Great Customer Service & Best Wedding Ever What a fabulous staff! The Mitchell House & Garden is beautiful and moderately priced. My husband and I were married here three weeks ago. The place was beautiful. The flowers and cake exceeded my expectations. I had a blast! Was just there attending a wedding/reception this past weekend and everything was wonderful!! The garden was lush and lit up with little lights everywhere. I was suprised we were not eaten alive by bugs, but I wasn't bitten once! I don't know how they fended off the flying insects in this SC heat and humidity...amazing. Just A Hot Mess I Recently just got married at the Mitchell House and Gardens. I paid over $1100 and felt like I didn't get my money's worth. First off the director and all the staff were very rude to all of my guest. They were unprofessional and unprepared. I had three consultations with Mitchell House and still on the day of my wedding I didn't receive anything we talked about.
