Our grandson age 3 has been going to Helping Hands for 6 months now. He is level 3 non verbal with no sounds, when he first started he was biting, not playing or engaging with other kids no direct eye contact. He is now doing all those things and he does not bite nearly as much. The staff is wonderful and Zain loves going there he gets his shoes every morning to leave for school even on the weekends. Since starting my autistic son here with ABA therapy half-days, we have seen tremendous improvements in communication, social engagement, and general life skills. Alyssa, the senior BCBA who supervises our son's progress, has been so helpful in creating a custom plan for us. She clearly cares about him and our progress. In only a few months, our son is now playing with his cousins, almost completely potty-trained, and accepting haircuts, just to name a few big changes for us. I felt like the interview I had was very unprofessional. I found it very unprofessional as well based on how staff was dressed as well down to head directors. It's very unacceptable to have a person that's not staff to be in areas without a background check. You mean to tell my anyone who has a interview with this place is required to walk through the facility and is required to play with an autistic child not doing a background of the child, are these parents aware you are doing this?
