Takaya is very sweet and nice but a lil too pricey to be in the hood she charges for every little thing and you will not know until you get to the counter...she has two assistants one is nice but tiffany is very rude she should not be in the hair business
I recently relocated to the Bham area and have been desperately seeking a new stylist. I visited Miracles and upon making my apt, I requested the owner Takaya as my stylist. I arrived at the shop and was approached within 10 minutes for service. Im assuming these young ladies were Takayas assistants that washed and rolled my hair. The looked very young and obviously unexperienced in the hair world as one of them was brushing my hair while it was wet and I could hear it continuously popping it off. DONT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!!!!!! I WENT TODAY AND I CRIED AFTERWARDS BECAUSE IT WAS AWFUL! I usually go to the salon that was mention in a previous review and I was really disappointed. I ended up going to headstart for them to fix my hair!!!! The only reason why I went is because my salon is closed on mondays......I went to the location in alabaster and it didnt look hood but it did look country! I am new in town and I heard about this salon so I went. I have tried it twice and both times I was beyond disappointed. The owner has sooooo many clients that she books people in like 15 min intervals. Meaning you have to wait forever for her to get to you. I had an appointment at 8:15 and I did not leave her salon until about 12:00. All I had done was a wash and style, thats it!!! I am a faithful customer of Miracles Hair Design and Salon Inc., and my stylist is Takaya Cunningham. She is a managing cosmetologist, and she is dedicated to promoting healthy hair care. I have had short hair, and Takaya grew it back to my shoulders. I have had weave sewn in and glued it; she made sure that my hair continued to grow through these processes. After a very exhausting search for a new hairstylist, I ended up at Miracles. Very nice owner/operator, very nice environment and salon. A little pricey, but the hairstyle and the whole experience was worth it. No loud, raunchy conversations or other foolishness. I can say she is my hairstylist now!
