Great doctor. He saved my life. I highly recommend him for autoimmune and sports medicine issues. He may get a little behind during the day, but it's really only because he's not rushing to get through his patients and go home. He will take whatever time is necessary to ensure he is helping everyone he can, as opposed to so many other docs who spend 4 minutes with you, don't do an exam, and won't let you ask questions! Dr Shaskey does none of that. In my opinion, it doesn't get much better than that!!
He is a great doctor! He might be a little "quirky," but he is truly brilliant. His patients have really complicated problems, and have usually been to multiple Rheumatologists, but Dr. Shaskey takes his time, is very thorough, and is methodical in his exams, research, and investigation. Inevitably, he comes up with a well-supported diagnosis. I came to him after developing some really bizarre infections that brought me close to death many times. No one could figure out why I was getting so sick from stupid little things, li... read more
Great doctor gets it. From his excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like.
This practice is terrific combining expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss. He’s also an excellent surgeon. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes when I arrive on time for an appointment.
Dr Shaskey did a great job he explained everything to me in a very clear manner. He was also kind and friendly. All of the staff was great – they were helpful, patient and helped with my insurance for my MRI
Wonderful experience with Millcreek Rheumatology. Dr. Shaskey is a wonderful rheumatologist; the staff is always helpful and kind. I am so glad I chose Millcreek Rheumatology and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Dr. Shasky took care of my 91 year old mom .He treated her with such dignity and respect which I and my family were very grateful for .She passed in April but I want others to know how kind he was to her . Thank you Melinda Diefenderfer
My insurance changed, so I switched to Dr. Shaskey. He started my appt by asking why I was on such a low dose of plaquenil to manage my RA. When I replied I was on the max does recommended for my body weight (any more could cause blindness), he said the doctors who wrote those recommendations didn't have any real data on whether the drug caused blindness, so they set a low threshold so they wouldn't get sued. He then insisted I go on a blood pressure medication to improve my circulation, despite the fact that my resting BP i... read more
Dr Shaskey walked into my appt in an unsteady manner, & seemed confused. He was unable to answer any of my questions. In fact, he called me back later that same day, asking what we discussed. My next visit went pretty much the same way. I do not recommend this doctor. I've seen other teenie reviews also complaining about his professionalism. So I know it's not just me that he's done this to. He's very unprofessional. Run in the opposite direction, as fast as you can!
