My experience with State Farm was one of extreme frustration. I came from ***** with the promise of lower rates. A month after I switched and I had signed up for Drive Safe and Save, they raised my rate by almost double without telling me why. I called my local agent and their main office several times but was only told it was an underwriting decision and that the underwriters don't interface with customers. Like a good neighbor....State Farm minds its own business. They'll gladly take your payments but if you actually need to file a claim beware, without warning they'll refuse to renew your insurance. Why pay the extra money to have roadside assistance or get help with a new windshield? Use the insurance and they'll drop you.
I have uninsured/underInsured insurance on my policy that should cover the repair on my vehicle due to an accident I had on 10/10/23. I am now being told, that in order to use my uninsured/underinsured coverage I have to have collision insurance. I have researched and no where no I find anything that says collision insurance is necessary in order to use uninsured/underinsured coverage. My family has used State Farm for decades for most of their insurance needs. Recently, I started receiving letters from State Farm saying that they were cancelling our automobile policies. I checked my bank and I have been making all scheduled payments. We were even briefly cancelled due to non-payment. I have been with State Farm for almost three years, and I just received a notice that they are dropping me as a auto insurance customer because I had windshield claims, totally $770. I live in *******, where it is literally illegal to have a cracked windshield, and I have glass coverage. I have paid every bill before it was due throughout my time with them. Awful communication, awful service. Do not recommend to anyone. 1 star is too much.
Apparently having Full coverage on your vehicle does not include Rental coverage unless you ask for it. A complete rip-off. Would not recommend State Farm to anyone.
State farm should change it's slogan to like a nightmare state farm is here. This is a horrible company A*eri*a Pe*z is my agent and geeze is she a liar and just the worst.
