I was considering the purchase of a Midea air handler and heat pump. Communicating with the company is virtually impossible. Pretty close to the worst customer service I have ver experienced. Unfortunately for Midea, this was all I needed to simply move in another direction. They could take a page from Senville here in Canada whose customer service is beyond impressive. Unfortunately, Senville does not sell air to water heat pumps.
Midea's handling of the U-shaped window AC recall has been abysmal. I have contacted Midea via e-mail, postal mail, telephone, and the Better Business Bureau. Midea has been impossible to work with. I look forward to the opportunity to join the upcoming class action lawsuit(s). Have a great day!

Like similar others have already shared, I had purchased one of the U-shaped air conditioner units that is part of the recall. At first the process seemed easy enough and I was happy there was a solution that allowed me to keep my unit because overall it's a great product. However, the tech that came out initially didn't complete the repair at all like they said they were and I was caught up in a work meeting at the time, unable to supervise and check that the work was done as they said it was.
