I purchased the U-shaped air conditioner last year. I found out it was on a recall. After submitting the proper documentation, I received an email stating that I would get a repair kit and to hold it until the technician came. Two months later, I had to call the recall line and was referred to a recall technician line, who then referred me to the repair technician line. They had to recall their ACs due to mold. Then they even sent the wrong shipping box and insisted I call them during work hours to get the right shipping box for them to take it back. I'm never buying anything from this company again.

I purchased two u shape air conditioner from Midea. This past June I received notice that they were being recalled. I did exactly what I was told to get a refund. Now I wait and wait. I have called 4 times and have been told my request is being expedited. I am asking for check refunds because if you get the gift card every month you do not use the card there is $5.00 charge. I do not think I will be buying any more products from this company which is a shame.

Let me add my voice to the chorus calling out the recall process for the joke and scam that it is. I registered with the official Midea recall site back in June. Selected the option to have technician perform a repair because you know this company will come up with a shady way not to give you the refund you are owed or claim that you messed up something if you repair it yourself with the kit they supposedly send if you choose that option.
