Knowledgeable and a Good Listener
It is a rarity in the practice of medicine that a medical doctor does not interrupt the patient every 11 seconds. I am grateful, not because I am a physician, but as a patient, that I feel a partner in the decision-making process. I am thankful she is my oncologist.The staff, all-inclusive, have likewise been outstanding. Her demeanor as a physician is unique.Long before I became a patient, I had harbored a high regard for the physicians at Texas Oncology, including the Neuro-oncologist. This is a good organization.

I don’t normally write bad reviews, but my experience with Dr. Ashworth was deeply disappointing. I struggle to express myself effectively and remember important details during appointments, so I brought documents to assist me, a couple of which were generated with AI and included possible interpretations of my symptoms. She immediately became very defensive over this. Despite emphasizing that I rely on her professional analysis and recommendations, she never seemed to fully recover. I have always experienced unfaltering care from Dr. Ashworth. Dr. Ashworth is an outstanding communicator and exceptional listener. My medical experience and mental and emotional support in processing and dealing with my cancer diagnosis and treatment was five stars plus!
Dr. Ashworth is easy to talk with concerning your condition. She takes her time to inform me of what is working and what we need to do to improve outcomes for my health.
Everything runs right on time, no long waits. All my questions were answered in a straight forward manner in terms I understood. Everyone is very friendly and I never feel rushed talking with Dr. Ashworth.
Dr. Ashworth always makes the patient feel as if she has all day to talk to you. She makes you feel comfortable and she really cares about everything going on with the patient. I highly recommend her for anyone diagnosed with cancer.
