About this business

Our practice philosophy is that a detailed history and extensive physical examination will always be state of the art. Surgery is always a last resort only after all conservatve modes of care have been exhausted. We spend time with and listen to what our patients have to say. We will never pass patients off to a nurse or a physician assistant. Rather, our patients can expect to be seen and examined by a board-certified orthopedic surgeon each time they come for an appointment at the spine center.

I was recommended to Dr.Wildstein for relief of back pain. Instead of more steroid shots, he recommended implanting a spinal stimulator. I wish the recommendation had come sooner as I have been relieved of much of the pain. I am still getting “tuneups” so hopefully things will continue to improve. Dr. Wildstein is easy to speak to and has a very positive manor. I would definitely recommend him.

I have undergone several back/neck surgeries (not by Dr. Wildstein). I have been in such pain for the past two years and progressively moving from the back, to the hip and down my legs. I had a fall 10 years ago and I thought I had fracture in my back but all the surgeons and docs I have been to have refused to look at the spot where I have the worst pain. Dr. Wildstein did. He confirmed, I did infact have an old fracture. My present problems with lower back pain, hip pain and leg problems are still under investigation but I... read more

Dr. Wildstein is direct and honest. He validates his judgment with data. He is personable and attentive. I experienced little wait in his office. I especially apppreciated his frank judgment and willingness to buck conventional wisdom.

Dr. Wildstein is very professional, a recommended expert for my type of problem, and I am so relieved after he performed my surgery - laminectomy of L4-5. My condition has existed 5+ years, and although physical therapy and injections gave some relief several different times, the slipped vertebrae continued to be very painful until it was relieved by the complicated surgery he performed. This included the necessity of removing bone spurs and scraping the inflamed areas. He has always exhibited concern about me and my discomf... read more

soo lucky Dr. Wildstein was recommended as a second opinion because it is a very big deal that he always sees you and not passed off to a PA. I have had some great and some abusive PA’s in the past decade and trust me ...This surgeon is not only a highly skilled all star but he is also like ‘chicken noodle soup for the soul, surgery, recovery and for the patient’s caretaker!!!!! My husband was extremely impressed that Dr Wildstein called him back at 9:30 pm and personally checks in to help him help me. Often caretakers can w... read more

My initial visit and subsequent follow ups have all been first rate experiences. Dr. Wildstein and his staff are professional and personable. The Dr.'s attention to detail and willingness to take the time explaining diagnoses, procedures and potential outcomes was certainly helpful and reassuring. He was literally a 'life saver' in diagnosing a lumbar mass and getting prompt treatment. I would, without hesitation, recommend the care of Dr. Wildstein and his staff.

Dr. Wildstein is the most competent caring professional you will find. After more than 2 years of pain, I was introduced to Dr. Wildstein. My pain level in my lower back and right leg had continued to increase and nothing was helping. No one wants surgery, but the microscopic procedure only took 30 minutes. Dr. Wildstein had stated he would be disappointed if I did not walk out to my vehicle. From checking in to going home, I was treated with Royalty. It was obvious how much the staff at St. Francis respects Dr. Wildstein. M... read more
