A Message from Michael Domer, M.D. I was always going to be a professional baseball player. That was my life goal that took a turn when I got injured before my freshman year at ASU. I had a shoulder and knee injury that caused me to spend plenty of time with the team physician. Spending time with him helped me decide to pursue medicine. In orthopedics, more than other specialties, we typically have a cure for people's problems. Other doctors spend a lot of time managing patient's problems. I like that orthopedic surgeons can... read more

Had total knee replacement August 7, 2018. Surgery and recovery went well and was able to resume normal activity within 6 weeks.
I had a short visit for minor knee pain and my experience was fine until my interaction with his assistant for a brace that was recommended to me. I asked how much the brace would cost and the assistant informed me it was $60. There was definitely nothing mentioned to me that this was simply a deposit and that it would be more. The brace ended up being $113.82 and I was forced to pay it. I feel misled and deceived. I don't feel this is a very honest tactic in not mentioning it might cost more.
Best decision I made is to see Dr. Domer, had been dealing with knee pain for the last 10 years. When I knew it was time for a full replacement went right back to Dr. Domer. Had my left knee replaced in June of this year, and have felt like a new person. My experience from the first visit and ongoing has been wonderful, how many of us can say this. I felt comfortable and my concerns and feelings were always handled with care.
My daughter recently broke her arm in a car accident. The break was just below the shoulder and the x-ray was frightening to look at. Dr. Domer scheduled surgery and was ready to operate when at the last minute our insurance company (Blue Cross) gave us the run around. I was fearful that the delay in performing surgery might have a negative effect on her recovery. Dr. Domer did such a good job with the surgery that within a few weeks she had returned to her pre-accident condition.
My name is Raul Salmeron I Ruptured my distal bicep tendon in November. I got surgery on it and November 28 by Dr. Domer he did a perfect job get my arm back to normal and I recommend them to anybody. If I ever in the future injured myself again I hope I don’t but if I do I would definitely go back to Dr. Domer give them a perfect score thanks brother
I checked around with several orthopedic surgeons and Dr. Domer was the only one I felt listened to me and was interested in getting me back to an active lifestyle. After 4 prior knee surgeries, I feel I can identify a good surgeon, or at least one that is best for me. Dr. Domer performed a full replacement on my right knee. I was back to playing golf in 8 weeks, driving the ball 10 to 20 yards further with no pain. I’m also riding my road and mountain bikes and can hike with my wife and dogs
I would highly recommend Dr Domer for hip replacement. I had my hip replaced in February and was walking without a walker or cane in less than a month. The staff that he works with are very kind and helpful.
Excellent Doctor....I was refereed to see him by my primary doctor, and I must say, it was truly amazing how this doctor really treat his patients, with care and very good listener. I would strongly suggest this Doctor plus his MA Amanda. She is also truly amazing and truly get things done in a very timely matter.
Dr. Domer took excellent care of me. The first time was several years ago when he repaired my femur, and recently when I had a mysterious round of pain - which turned out had nothing to do with the femur repair, but was a bad reaction to a drug. I felt that he took a personal interest in his patients, and I wasn't just a number or a procedure. He knew who I was and what he prescribed (physical therapy) worked. I would recommend this fine physician to family and friends - and have done so.
