For knee injuries, you need look no further than Dr. Domer. I’ve had the good fortune to be in his care for the last 2 years and could not be happier. After a hiking injury in February 2018 my weight increased and my knee became arthritic. Dr. Domer explained that although I needed TKA, my BMI was too high (50+). I was scheduled for knee replacement January 4th thru Banner due to COVID that was canceled. I’m out of time at work and couldn’t wait any longer for the surgery. I was able to get in to see Dr Domer with in a day and had my replacement three days later! Dr Domer is caring and will spend the time to answer all your questions. All of the staff at OrthoArizona are friendly, that means a lot!
Friendly staff and clinicians. Office clean and the wait was not bad. 8 am appointment, out by 9:30 am. Karlene the PA is awesome. Thorough exam and explained the treatment in detail. Hopefully my issue will resolve. If not, I would not hesitate to return. Thank you!
Just an fyi, when one makes an appointment with their Doctor, it is them, and not a PA. It takes time to make an appointment with your Dr's since they are booked solid, months in advance..than a patient shows up and the office does a switch a woo , and they are stuck with a PA...this is terrible..and uncalled for
Wait was long but that was due to being a new patient. I felt doctor was rushed. Didn't have me walk to see what I could do. He said that my angle swelling was do to brace so I didn't use it but still got swollen with lots of pain at night. I joked to my family I took more time in waiting area and in the bathroom than I did in the exam room.
Appropriate time has been taken and explanations concerning my problem have been clear and understandable.
I would highly recommend Dr. Domer as an excellant surgeon. Dr. Domer did my knee replacement on August 27th 2020 and I went home on August 30th. Two days after I got home I was walking without a walker or cane. By my first follow-up appointment, September 8th, I was able to walk into his office without assistance. My incision healed beautifully and today I had my 2nd follow-up 5 weeks after my surgery and have full extension on my knee, can walk up and down stairs unassisted and was released with no restrictions. I was referred to Dr. Michael Domer from an Honor Health physician . Dr. Domer determined that two knee replacements would be necessary. A thing I appreciated is that Dr. Domer has a medical transcription that is in the room, which allows Dr. Domer to listen to you, share information, and show that he cares. The transcription person types the dialogue, so the doctor can give all of his attention to the patient, He explains everything extremely well, and lets the final decision of your treatment up to the patient.
