Dr. Crandall is a good Spine Doctor and cares about his patients. He was up front about my spine and concern about my thoughts and I will continue to see him. I recommend Dr. Crandall to anyone who has back problems, give Dr. Crandall a chance what do you got to lose.
When a doctor tells you "you're faking", and it's proven later w/a 2nd opinion that the issues are due to several physical deformities, then it's time to seek help elsewhere, which I did. I wouldn't recommend this "doctor" or facility. DOS 2015

My operation was a complete failure. The rods were of such poor quality that was selected by Dr. Chang that a simple fall and no outward damage a breakage and utter failure that I am much worse off than before the surgery and all you can offer me is corrective surgery with a low chance of it helping me and with failure and death from bad management on the table, a possability my family looks at me as a fool. The possibility of just letting me slip away, looms great.
I felt as if this provider did not want to spend the time with me to find out what was wrong. This was my second visit to see him. Each time, he sent a new grad in to speak with me and "assess" me who then reported his perceptions to Dr. Chang before the doctor would see me. I do not like this procedure. I am fully capable of adequately conveying and discussing whatever medical concern(s) I have that I have sought Dr. Chang's advice for.
My experience with Dr. Chang was very positive. He was attentive and empathetic to my concerns. He was my 3rd "consult or opinion" and I opted for him after consulting with 2 other neuro/ortho docs. He took time to explain the surgery in detail and put my nerves at ease. My surgery time and hospital stay was even shorter than expected!
