We purchased a sapphire and diamond ring from Michael Hill along with the professional care plan, which included what we understood to be a diamond warranty. Unfortunately, our experience over the past two years has been extremely disappointing. Within this short timeframe, a sapphire has fallen out and a diamond chip has been lost. I purchased a chain for my nephew today and had an excellent experience from start to finish. I had a general idea of what I was looking for and had saved a photo from the Michael Hill website on my phone. Ben immediately knew exactly which chain I was referring to and where it was displayed. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. Another update: after having the ring fixed a few days later, a diamond fell out. I had to fight with the store to have them take care of the ring as they should because it appeared to be an issue after the repair of the claw holding the morganite. I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to fix my ring at no charge to me. Eventually they agreed to replace the diamond and re-tip the ring as a gesture of Goodwill at no cost to me.
