the hospital ER told me to follow up with this doctor for my injury, first of all I am not sure why they recommend him and not other doctors or give you a list from whom to chose. MY WIFE SUFFERED A FRACTURED SCAPULA. I CALLED DR. WHITTLES OFFICE ON A MONDAY MORNING,GIVING ALL NECESSARY INFORMATION TO THE OFFICE PERSONNEL.I WAS GIVEN THE INQUISITION,BEING TOLD THE INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE DOCTOR AND HE WILL THEN DECIDE IF HE WOULD SEE MY WIFE.I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK! Terrible. This DR is for $s. Should be removed from practice! No DR for pain. No feeling for pain.
Very unpleasant experience. Was in terrible pain but kept waiting in freezing, small exam room while Dr. chatted about his house and coming storm. Very arrogant and not at all empathetic. Staff not much better...won't call in prescriptions to pharmacy ("too much risk") ??? Cathy was only exception who agreed to squeeze me into schedule.
This doctor spent 10 minutes asking me stupid questions about New York City. I wasn’t interested in discussing where I used to live and politely asked if he had seem my xrays from the emergency room. I looked down at my phone to my notes and when I looked up he had walked out of the office. When I asked where he was to an assistant I was told he wasn’t coming back. I've had two ankle surgeries with Dr. Wittels: a fracture requiring screws/plate, and an arthroscopy. He's a great surgeon and I highly recommend him. The office staff are usually busy, but they are very kind and friendly. I recommend asking for an early appointment so the waiting room isn't as full. I don't mind waiting because I am extremely happy with the care I receive from everyone.
They switched my doctor with no previous heads-up and they charged me significantly more than they had told me over the phone. Not going back.
I never even made it to get an appontment. The last woman I spoke to was the rudest person. People who have no compassion should not be working in a doctor's office. They should also give you their name when answering a call.
Skilled, Brilliant and Compassionate. Simply the best in Florida!
