I fell in November of 2017 and had a massive tear of my right rotator cuff. Since I had a heart attach in May I could not come off blood thinners until May 2018. Dr. Cheek did a fantastic job as he kept me full informed as to what might be the case not having the surgery for 6 months after the fall. He also stressed with the activities I enjoy and at age 69 I should give this a surgery a try. He was very successful and I am not at about 90% fully back. He is a fantastic doctor I would recommend
If you are considering any type of shoulder surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Cheek and his team, including Chad Smith, his PA. Both are extremely knowledgeable about all the aspects of shoulder pain, surgery and recovery. I had both my right and left shoulders repaired by this fantastic team who demonstrates care and concern for their patients at all times.
Dr. Cheek recently repaired a massive rotator cuff tear I incurred from a fall. I recommend him to anyone requiring shoulder surgery. Not only did he successfully repair my injury, he thoroughly explained everything he would attempt to do, including any potential risks. His years of experience will serve you well.
Dr. Cheek is a man of integrity & compassion. He gives enough time to answer your questions, is not in a hurry and makes you feel like your his most important patient. Not only does he have great bedside manners, but is an excellent surgeon. I had both shoulders with rotor cup surgery's done by him, both were very successful. I now can go about and have a normal life.
I needed to have my right shoulder joint replaced. It was very painful, and I was losing range of motion by the day, so I went to see Dr. Cheek. I had very little pain after the surgery... probably not what everyone would expect, but for me it was wonderful. I took only a few pain pills, then stopped. I did physical therapy, and was amazed at how quickly my range of motion returned. I could not be happier with the results! It's truly good as new!
Dr. Cheek is the best shoulder surgeon in west Michigan. Bar none.
After having total shoulder replacement in early May I am now able to resume doing everything I was able to do prior to sugery but now without pain. Can not thank Dr Cheek enough for his skills in repairing and replacing my shoulder
