This is a beautiful venue. We always enjoy the performances, especially when Japp is conducting. The buffet is a nice addition prior to the performances also.
Simone Lamsma performed the Brahms Violin Concerto. She was superb as was the symphony. Most every time I hear a soloist in the Meyerson I am again so impressed with the best acoustics in the United States. Now how do I describe one of the orchestral show pieces of the 20th Century. STRAVINSKY-The Rite of Spring. The experience of just hearing that ballet was and is one of the highlights of this symphony season. Not your G rated symphony. I do have season tickets and my main gripe is the 7;30 PM Concert time .
Superb acoustics. Marvelous atmosphere. Unsurpassed Dallas Symphony. Great program.
Great place to see a classical venue. Good acoustics.
I attended the Old World Hungarian Folk Tale. I was mesmerized with the genre. As I listened to the Dallas Winds I actually was able to put myself in the music. Seeing rain drops, feeling the terror, while imaging the dance of a tiny ballerina. Wagner made me imagine seeing the Minuette. I was taken away to far away places to rapture in music under the direction of Director Jerry Junkin. I can't wait for the Shadow of Sirius.
Extremely helpful staff members, and the DSO and DWS always put on a first rate show!
Beautiful hall and Megan Hilty was fabulous! Friendly and helpful staff members. Only complaint was that there were times the symphony drowned out the vocalist and I wished they could have turned up her mic. But the music was amazing. We will definitely be back.
