My husband and I did the Pick 8 option this year. Last night we heard the DSO play Tchaikovsky symphony #4. We also heard Max Bruchs piano concerto #1. The soloist whose name I'm blanking on is the Itsak Perlman of our day. What a gift! And what a gift to be privileged to hear him! Whew! So much to say. So few superlatives. We love our Friday nights at the Meyerson and DSO.

Jaap Van Zweden never disappoints. It will be such a great loss when he leaves for New York. A German Requiem was done masterfully by the DSO and the Dallas Symphony Chorus. The performance prelude was also a delight and very informative .
The Brahms Requiem was absolutely beautiful. The DSO was superb, singing with such emotion that it brought me to tears. Lisette Oropesa's performance was stellar, as well. A memorable evening!!
